Beginning to Blog

Considering that this is the first blog that I am going to write in my life, I think that it would be appropriate to introduce myself into the internet community. My name is Jimmy and I am a senior at Illinois State University, currently beginning this blog as a member of Politics 312- Public Opinion. This course requires me to choose a relevant topic that could have a significant amount of public opinion surrounding it. I choose same sex marriage to be the focus of my efforts this semester. I don't actually have much knowledge surrounding this topic, yet along with everyone else in the world has an opinion on it. I hope to use my efforts and time to develop a better understanding of this hot topic, and to gain a better knowledge of what the public thinks as well.
